Please allow myself to introduce…myself.

Aloha!  My name is Jenn, and I’m so thrilled you’ve decided to check out this blog. I admit that this is not my first time.  I’ve had a number of blogs in the past, all related to the season my life was in at the moment. For instance, I blogged about the life changing event of having my third child. I created pieces on my journey to cleaner eating while switching to the Paleo lifestyle. I’ve also blogged about my Pinterest Challenge, in which I noted which Pinterest activities were actually doable by me (and which were complete and utter failures)! And so, yes, I’ve reached a new moment in my life in which I feel the need to start up again, but this time it’s not all about me. My goal is to inspire YOU.

As a mother of three children under 10 (I can say that for a few more months until my oldest does in fact turn 10 years old), I just recently finished graduate school, and work full-time.  For 12 years, I immersed myself in the teaching field as a substitute, assistant, and ultimately lead teacher in the private school sector.  I loved teaching, and I still love it. It’s part of who I am.  This summer, however, I made the transition into the administrative department of our school. While I’m still getting used to the new responsibilities and different work environment, I must say, I’m enjoying the time I have at home, spending with my family instead of working on lesson plans, grading papers, or fussing over assessments and report cards! My husband is also thrilled to see me much less stressed over work.

Because of my lighter workload and newfound leisure time at home, I managed to pick up a few hobbies. This past June, I joined a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu club, which I’m excited to share about with you, I’ve dipped my toe in the creative writing pool after being away for a while, and, well, I’ve started this blog! In this past year alone, I found I’ve made so much growth in all facets of my life and I believe it is my calling to not only share some of my insights with you, but to also inspire you to grow in mind, body and spirit. While I know you might not be able to relate to some parts of my stories, it is my hope that through my words, I can ignite just that smallest ember in your soul to enable you to make a change in your life or someone else’s.

To this day, the words of Mahatma Ghandi resonate in my heart: You must be the change you want to see in the world. What is it that you feel needs to be changed in this world? What is it that you feel needs to be changed in your life? What is it that you want more than anything?  These questions have spurred me to discover new things about myself that I’ve never considered before. Let us walk together in this journey as we seek the answers to make our lives and the lives of those we love better. Through this blog, you’ll learn more about me, and hopefully more about you. We’ll talk about life, food, working out, Christianity, philosophy, and more.  Feel free to ask questions or comment at any time. My door and heart are open to you. Thank you, again, for stopping by!

A hui hou, and may you Be Inspired!
