As the year winds down, and we all reflect on all that God has blessed us with this year: the joys and triumphs, as well as the sorrows and tragedies, I take in a deep breath and the taste of hope lingers on my tongue, the smell of victory lingers in my nostrils, and as the breath reaches my soul, the call to ARISE stirs within.
It’s easy to look at the sorrows of the year and to let them consume us, but friends, I urge you to breathe in all that was good, is good, and will always be good. For everything good is of the Lord, and for that I am thankful.
This year I met you and you met me. I shared some things with you, and some of you shared some things with me. I am humbled by your fellowship and trust, and am honored that you have chosen to come along on this journey God bestowed upon me. Thank you for your support, blessings and love that you have shown me this year.
As we head into the new year, I pray a blessing upon us. I pray that the words God puts on my heart to share with you not only fill you with hope and promise, but they also inspire you to take action within your own lives. I pray that He blesses you richly and abundantly in all facets of your life. I pray that we seek Him through our storms and we hold steadfast to His promise that He will neither leave us, nor forsake us. And though the road ahead may be bumpy and difficult, we hold comfort in knowing that His word is a lamp for our feet and a light on our path. (Pslam 119:105)
My dear friends, I pray a wondrous 2017 for your and yours. May God protect you and keep you, may the Holy Spirit stir a fire in your soul, and may the love of Jesus be with you always.
